Sailing in Spain

Spain is a place of mixed nations and cultures. It is a perfect spot for sailing adventure. Spanish climate is considered to be temperate because it is so extremely diverse. Most of the Iberian peninsula gets extremely hot in July and August, so sailing is the most comfortable way to discover the beauty of Spain. May and October are also good time to charter a luxury yacht due to lovely weather and not so crowded country as during the summer months.

Choose from our luxury yacht selection a perfect yacht that suit your preferences and let us plan your sailing vacation together. Our skippers are skilled and well informed about local customs and habits. They will answer all your questions concerning restaurants, people and culture in general. A Luxury Yachting will make sure you get the sailing arrangement that fits you perfectly.

Barcelona

Barcelona has a lot of advantages for including it in your sailing adventure – romantic beaches, nice waters, exhilarating nightlife and exciting fiestas. Most important landmarks of Barcelona are La Sagrada Familia, Tibidabo Hill, the Cathedral, the skyscrapers of the Olympic Marina, the Collserola communications tower and others.

Fiestas are the best reason for you to leave your yacht and participate in one of the cultural, music or film festivals. These events are explosions of colors, music, fun and fireworks plus they usually last all night long. People in Barcelona are very cordial, open and friendly, as well as helpful and generous – the true Mediterranean types.

If you need more information about the city, check out the official pages of Barcelona at http://www.bcn.cat or Barcelona tourism official site http://www.barcelonaturisme.com.

Ibiza

Ibiza is a Spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea, the third largest of the Balearic Islands archipelago. The Balearic Islands are perfect sailing destination due to the Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers, favorable winds that come from the north and with over 300 sunny days annually. Ibiza is well known as “mecca of fun” and is ideal for those who are interested in vibrant nightlife. Although Ibiza is better known for its party scene, it is also culturally and historically important. Reason why is the fact that it is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

For more information about Ibiza check out its official website http://www.ibiza.travel/en/, and for various sailing and yacht charter arrangements in that area check out our specialized website A Yacht Charter Ibiza.
