To the east below the Old Town of Cannes lays the Vieux Port, or Old Port, also known as Port Cannes I; at its northeastern corner is the Gare Maritime. To the north the port is bordered by the pretty Allées de la Liberté which are lined with plane trees.

There is a great road infrastructure from Cannes to other major cities and a regular local bus line also exists.
